Our housekeeper ~ Mr Darius

This is our personal housekeeper, he loves to sweep and mop the floor but ironically he is the one who create the mess. Surprisingly, he did quite a quite a good job in mopping, going tiles by tiles. Reckon he had been observing grandma doing chores. On the same afternoon, he was knock out for 3 hours of nap. Not bad exercise for him, ha.

Surviving Bedrest

Didn't had the mood to update blog last week due to some hiccup news from gynae. Apparently I was observed with some pre-term symptom during the last check. And with the pressure from the baby had head down position, it worsen the situation by shortening the cervical length. Was put on prolong hospitalization leave till a safer period (probably week 35).

We have did a lot of research during this pregnancy for prevention of another premie and did our utmost best to be positive. We were convinced that the last pre-term was due to PROM due to UTI. With research online, i doesn't seems to fit into the bill of any specific category as incompetence cervical (as if it happens its tri 2 or b4 week 24), too "liang", too weak, overstress or what so ever you call.. That's the frustrating part.

I didn't take the not so good news as well as daddy did. Or perhaps its daddy's character to be a cool cucumber even if the heaven is down. Mentally and Physically are a torture during bedrest as all the body aches and headaches starts knocking on my door. Been not able to do much physically, alot of things will start to be wander on my mind.. Should I go KKH or Mt A? High cost if its a premie again, can the family cope with the load with one premie and one toddler? For Darius, our whole family spent a lot of effort and time on him to ensure his back on track like normal baby. Although this make us appreciate his milestone more than normal baby, but we hope once is enough. I really hope god won't make me go through this twice.

Work wise its also affecting me a lot. I don't like to drop all stuff and take emergency leave and leave the mess to my colleagues. Moreover there are some situation in company that I hope I can accompany my colleague who is leaving next month. Fortunately I have a good team lead, manager and colleagues who urge me to rest assure on work stuff.Flower Hamper from Company

Many was asking me "What's the rational of safe period". In KKH terms, a premie baby will not be discharge upon hitting the two criteria which is below 35 weeks or below 2kg. I have just reached 2kg target from last week checkup and aiming the min 35 weeks dateline with aid of bedrest. Everyday is a blessing for us after next week. Looking back, probably its a blessing to discover there were risk involve from week 31 which keep me in bed till now and further, otherwise we might go into another repeated history. Keeping finger cross and hoping the best.

Backdated Sentosa Chalet Outing Posting

Darius had his first overnight stay in a chalet at Sentosa along with grandparents and granduncle/aunt sometime back. Needless to say he brought along joy as well as trouble to them during the stay. Didn't manage to capture a lot of photo as we joined them later. Nevertheless, some shots from his swim session with Kelvin Jiu Jiu.

Happy Birthday to Daddy

Darius was so excited whenever he see any birthday celebration. He will clap his hands excitedly and gesture candle blowing. In the morning, I ask Darius to pass Daddy the Crumpler laptop bag because its Daddy's Birthday, Darius followed my instruction, brought the bag from living room to bedroom and call out sweetly "Pa Pa", hold his hands to the bag.. so sweet. Like the past, we just had a simple celebration, this year its yummy D24 durian cake from 717 cakeshop. Most importantly its a family celebration that matters. :)

Grandma Bday Celebration

We had a simple birthday celebration for Grandma today over dinner today. After dinner, we proceed to Uncle's house for cake cutting. The above photo is featuring the 4 heavenly king of Lim family. Really tough to get a decent shot with everyone not synchronizing..

Darius Boy is growing from a baby to toddler boy. Recently he have been really angel at times and devil most of the time too.. Enough of mentioning of the evil deeds, need to give him some praises. He keep calling Mama.. mama in his sweeeetest tone and offer me chair to sit and offer to share his food with me. He likes to tell popo this n that belongs to mama.. He likes to kiss mommy tummy recently, probably due to the growing size.. But something very hilarious, last weekend while he was resting with me on the sofa, and baby was moving a lot in me. So I told Darius, "look darius baby is moving..." he stared for a while, then say "eee eee" , guess what's his next move................. he gave a smack on my moving tummy.. aiyooo... guess he was trying to help but ouch...

Another progress, he had been attempting to feed himself and hold the bottle finally (plain lazy).
He is now sleeping alone at his single size mattress just beside our bed. Hopefully this continue and the newborn can sleep on the babycot.

18th month old cheeky and mischievous boy milestone update:

1) Still picking up new single/double syllabus at this stage. Favorite syllabus are papa, mama, popo, ah neh neh (ha, this is the only thing he fear of) , jie jie...

2) Attempting to run especially in open area/malls

3) Attempting to feed himself at dinner table, but definitely in a mess

4) Relocated car seat to front passenger seat and he is able to stay seated till destination with tibits/ entertainment

5) Undergoing another stage of grow spurt, more milk n milk n milk... snacks, beehoon, noodle...

6) Transiting him out of babycot and sleeping on single size mattress (But still in our room)

7) Favorite food for the month.. Strawberry, roti prata, raisin, yakult
