15th Month Old

Dec is a month of joy and celebration. Quite an eventful month so far for the family but we are enjoying it. Darius little update:

1) Still 4 little teeth (2 upper, 2 lower). wonder why it take so long for his teeth to grow.
2) Still hand holding him to walk around
3) He can identify quite a list of items especially family members and grocery. Why grocery?? Bcos grandparents always bring him to collect brochure from NTUC.
4) Favorite Playmate - Daddy
5) Keeps chanting papapapapapapa...
6) Likes little babies and playing with young children
7) Undergoing training to take care of himself.. This mommy is into child slaving... asking him to help take diapers, wipes, cream and cleaning his mouth with hanky after milk

Back from the west...

Missed them very much when Daddy and Mommy was away for 2 weeks to US west coast. Although they called back everyday to talk to me but different feeling. During this period, luckily granduncle was on leave and bring me and family out for meals and car rides.. Phew, else I will be bored at home.

Daddy and Mommy promise to include me for the next trip. Promise ok?? Kiddos remember things very well one.. :p

See what they have brought for me.. Mountain of things I would say.. And yes, your eyes are not playing tricks, i've got a new car seat all the way from US. Haha.. in the end, I am the biggest winner.

Darius @13th Month Old

My 13th month milestone is being a pro-climber. I can climb up sofa very swiftly, yesterday I even jump from sofa and landed on the floor. Mommy scolded me but I gave her a cheeky smile and laughter. When I'm concentrating on something, I can let go my hands and stand up. That's only if I know no one is monitoring me (still lack of courage for first step).

Mommy's 2[0-9]th Birthday

Went for hotel stay over last weekend for Mommy's birthday mini celebration. Lots of fun and food feast. Darius's first encountered of staying out is a successful, no fuss, happy and easy going. 3 cheers for being a great boy. With this result, believe we can bring him overseas pretty soon.

Countdown to our trip

We are going on a 2 week US trip without our baby, wonder if we can survive the period without Darius whining and laughter. Reckon at the age of 1, Darius is probably easy to coax so long he is with his caregiver granny, well fed and lots of playtime for him. But for us, I always ponder how will I like it without the rush hours to work, night feeds and quality time with Darius. It's kind of emptyness... abit regret to go ahead with the trip without involving our boy.

I recalled when we were confirming air tickets, I was quite pessimistic and advised our travel mates that should there be a need to stay back for Darius I will give up my plan. I'm certainly not a happy go lucky person, more like worry worry and more worries person.. really wish to achieve the former and lead a simple thoughts life. This trip is long overdue and postponed that 4 of us planned to go before I was preggie, then all travel plans were halted for the sake of our prince.. Next year we should plan one including him. This weekend we are bringing him for a hotel stay in Singapore.

The dates are getting nearer and we have yet to plan and book hotels etc. Heavily depending on our 2 other travel mate to do the job, i hope :0 .

As mentioned in earlier posting, we brought Darius for duck tour ride on his actual birthday. He was so excited during the trip and want to stand on his own with help. Photos taken on that day..

Happy Birthday Our Dear Boy.

Our boy is ONE year old today and officially a toddler now. In a blink of eyes, one year has passed and our boy has grown almost 5 times as big in weight (from 2.09kg) , almost 30cm taller (from45cm) than birth and into a cheerful and active little toddler. Looking at these pictures, we remembered how tiny and vulnerable he seems to be when he was born. Now he is such a active boy, his smile could melt any heart, his presence had bonded the family to be closer.

Darius - 1 Year Old

Yesterday we had a birthday party at Grassroot club with close friends and relatives. Its enjoyable but tiring :p. Kids are unpredictable and I guess we learn through this year to take things easier and had no expectation to have a "perfect" party. The only aim is to make Darius happy and to give the guest a good time as a way to say a big Thank you for all their support over last year.


Today we took child leave to have a private celebration with our boy. We went duck tour with really entertained Darius for 45mins (ride is 60mins) before he starts to whine. After that we went Singapore Flyer for lunch and decided not to proceed with the ride since there were a lot of constructions views around that area, guess after the IR opening will be a better view. After lunch we went Kenko shoulder massage (for mommy), fish therapy (for daddy) and Darius just being a nicest boy to watch us. We went vivocity for toy shopping and dinner before heading home to end the day. How we wish the day will be longer.

Darius's 1st Photoshoot Session

We went for photoshoot last friday, its a enjoyable but tiring one :). Reckon other than our wedding photography this is the most tiring session. The package was quite a good deal with all soft copy burned in CD and get it on the spot, although the session was stated as 1 hr but the photographer was kind enough to extend to 1.5 hr as Darius was busy playing with toys and didn't cooperate well. Its not easy being a clown to tickle his funny bones (Darius typically love super dramatic tricks). Trying to rush to design an album for him as his 1st birthday present and a crazy week for work as well. Will try to upload more photos to facebook soon.

11th Month Old (Backdated posting)

Milestone of the Month:
- Spouted 2 teeth at bottom (Finally :) )
- Succeed to climb sofa and bed
- Crawling around the house at fast speed
- Self escape from high chair and attempt to stand up
- Tried cruising around furniture but usually ended with falls
- Been snacking quite often. Love Fish, biscuit and bread
- Likes to ask for food when he see us at meals
- Response to simple request like "pray pray"
- Recongise family members from photos by pointing them when you ask him where is "wai-gong" etc.

Calling Daddy

Tonight is a special night. While everyone is glue to the TV tonight, Darius-boy shouted Daddi. Everyone turns around to a blushing Darius-boy.

Sounds so unreal. Really melts everyone's heart.

I'm 10th month old today

Cheezy smile, small eye and toothless is our darling DB's trademark. Since last week, he start to brave himself to stand up by the cot and shouting across for attention. So for us, someone standing there looking at us and giving a sunshine smile is the best vitamin for the day. Simply irresistable.

DB 9th Month Old

I'm 9th month old last weekend, however I warded in Mt A. because I had bronchitis and high fever. :( Doctor says I'm down with viral infection hence causing bronchitis. The only time I am more cheerful is when I'm in this playroom. Thank you to Doc Lim and nice nurses for putting up my cries and struggle. Virus virus go away.. I want to stay healthy please...

8th Month Old Darius Boy

Yo.. My adorable boy is 8th month old this week, simply getting more irresistable towards him. PD highlight that DB (Darius Boy) is catching up with developement, weight and height (8.2kg, 71cm). Dr lim is considering him more or less like normal age than corrected age. However the scar at his forehead seems going to stay with him. DB is learning to sit by pushing himself into tripod sitting position. Got him a high chair from Ikea as he is too curious over what's serve for our dinner. He also try to push himself forward and try to attempt crawling. He simply love people to entertain him by super exaggerate actions and he will laugh loudly at it.. Wau-po and Mah Mah usually will issue a STOP when DB laugh too hard/too long.. Ha..So comical.

Lots of aunties been asking for my latest update. It have been a crazy month with lots of things happening.. Daddy's birthday, mother's day, family protrait phototaking, daddy n mommy on a trip and mommy changing to new job.. Phew, finally can find sometime to update.. here's some backdated updates.

Our Darius Boy reaches his 7th Month

Hello everyone, I've reached my 7th month. Nothing much to report, except my mommy have been trying out new puree and cereals on me. She brought a book "first food" and start making home made purees for me. Its more delicous than bottle ones but much effort to do so. Let's see how long she can take it. Ha..

Darius's First Swim

Been busywith work lately, hence some delay in updating blog. Along with cousins, we arrived at Uncle Charles (aka Da-Bo) house at 930am, bcos "mah-mah" says morning sun is good for babies. 2 excited babies, 1 toddler getting ready for the dip.. Of all, only sua-ku darius is a first timer to have a pool dip. Neverthless, it was a great experience and the babies were tired after that and had a good whole 2 hours of noon nap. :)
