Mommy is back to work...

How time flies, 5 months plus since I stop working, my unpaid leave had come to an end today. Seeing the growth n development of Darius during this period definitely worth anything that were put to hold. During this period, really bonded with Darius very well. Only regret that we were not discharge by KKH yet, which means more follow up appts to go. :(

I went through days n nites of short feedings that simply breaking my bones apart. When baby is asleep, will worry about too light, too heavy, too chesty breathing. When awake, worry if he is active enough. When reject milk, worry about not enough intake. Rushing to keep the house clean for sake of baby and finish up essential house chores. Taking care of babies aren't easier that working stress.This sentence use to relate to me as another grumpy complaints from my mum, but now I understand it. Salute to our mummies that can take care of mutiple siblings of ours from young and at times take up ad-hoc tasks.

New milestone today (5th Month)

Glad to share that we witness Darius clearing his milestone on flipping right before us. We did it quite sneaky though, he was learning flipping for quite a while already but I suppose due to his recent milk rejection follow by viral infection he didn't manage to do it yet.

Usually he will try and keep giving out "ah ah air air air" sound, he did the same just now while we had our dinner. We didn't give much attention initally, then suddenly I saw his butt flipped successfully,quickly catch Jere's attention and we act normally and pretend chatting and saw the act.

Might be overreacting, however found some tears in my eye after that. Maybe the fact that Darius is a premie, hence every milestone seems more important and appriecated as its a wait and see thingy. As you know he might be considered either 5months or corrected 3.5months ago. We promised to give him time and no pressure on him, hope we constantly remind ourselves on that. Jiayou, our lovely boy.

Our Vday celebration

Years back, we were once victims of flowers and resturants; but not anymore now. Feels heartache everytime I think back the amount of money dearie spend to get flowers on that day itself, rather receive one stalk out of the blue at normal day that makes it more meaningful. However we do make it a point to have a simple meal together to give each other more attention that we miss during norm days. This year with Baby Darius around for the first vday we brought back italian meals from a angmo stall in a coffeeshop "cheap n good" and spend a nice evening. Only thing I was upset is that Darius down with viral infection after cny, possibly infected by vistors. Hope he gets well soon and be strong with boundless immunity.

My first CNY

This is my 1st cny, but recently I didn't have much appetite for milk hence given daddy n mommy lots of problem especially need to pack a whole bag of barangs for me. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my cny as there were much attention on me passing me around like parcel; in the end I was over-stimulated that I can't sleep well at night.
